MAV Summit build

Summit

The tow package. Forty-one inch Goodyears, LiquidSpring smart hydraulic suspension front and rear, and a big-brake kit — built to put a boat where the ramp runs out.

Maximum safety and stopping power

The Beast kit goes on every truck we build, front and rear. It is not an option and it is not an upgrade, because a truck this size, on tires this tall, with a trailer behind it, is only ever as safe as the thing that slows it down. That is not where we let a customer economize.

So we had it measured rather than argue about it. An independent test facility ran a finished Apex through the federal brake procedure at the truck’s full rated weight — not a curb-weight number — and every stop came in comfortably inside the federal limit, with room to spare. Those runs were never the truck’s best, either: the lab was following a procedure, not trying to stop short, so nobody put the pedal to the floor. When the engineer did, it stopped shorter still.

Cabin noise

As quiet as a half-ton

A military tread on a 41-inch tire is supposed to roar at you the whole way home. So we put a sound meter on the dash and drove. At seventy on the highway a Summit read about 72 dB inside the cab. A 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 on ordinary 29-inch tires, same meter, same speed, came in within a decibel of it.

That is not luck. The Goodyear G275 and the pressures we set it at were chosen for exactly this — a truck that looks like it should shout at you, and instead lets you hold a conversation at highway speed.

Filmed in each cab with the same handheld meter at the same indicated speed, on separate roads. A measurement, not a laboratory test — road surface moves a reading as much as a tire does.

The process

From order to your driveway

Six to eight weeks once your truck reaches our facility. Total time depends on Ford’s nationwide availability of your trim and color.

01

Spec it

We size the build to what you tow and where you take it. You get a written quote the same week.

02

Reserve

A 30% deposit signs the agreement and starts the hunt for your truck, through our 11+ commercial Ford dealer partners. The deposit is 30% of the conversion only — you put nothing down on the truck until we have found it.

03

Build

You pay for the truck when it arrives at our shop, and that is when the build starts. Suspension, steering, brakes, rolling stock, bumpers, paint — you get photos as it comes together.

04

Delivery

Final quality check, then the rest of what you owe — including sales tax — is due as the truck goes out. Picked up in Escondido or delivered to your door, anywhere in the country.

About MAV

Built in San Diego. Built to last.

MAV Conversions builds its own trucks, in our own 16,000 sq ft facility in San Diego County. We are not a broker, and we do not farm the work out. We source the chassis, do the fabrication, hand-finish every truck and road test it ourselves, so no two are the same and the build never leaves our floor. Start to finish, you are dealing with the people who build your truck.
